The Clarkson Golden Knights defeated the Vermont Catamounts 3-1 in a non-conference hockey matchup at Gutterson Fieldhouse on PC Construction Night. Clarkson scored two goals in the second period to secure the win. Head coach Steve Wiedler expressed disappointment in the team’s emotional immaturity and lack of offensive production. Vermont opened the scoring early in the first period with a goal by Luca Münzenberger, but Clarkson quickly equalized and took the lead with a power play goal. A late empty-net goal sealed the victory for Clarkson. Despite the loss, Community Bank N.A. will donate $75 to Special Olympics Vermont. The Catamounts will face No. 14 Providence in a two-game series next weekend, with both games airing live on ESPN+. Fans can also listen to the games on WVMT (96.3 FM/620 AM).
