LAPD Investigators Release Video of Fatal Vermont Vista Hit-and-Run, Intensify Search for Suspect

Police in Los Angeles are continuing their search for a hit-and-run driver involved in a deadly crash that occurred in late February. The incident took place on Figueroa Street and 104th Place, where a man in his 60s was struck while crossing the street with a walker. The driver of the suspect vehicle failed to stop and instead continued driving northbound on Figueroa. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

In an effort to gather more information on the case, the Los Angeles Police Department has released video footage of the incident to the public. They are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone who can provide information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the driver. The full video can be viewed on LAPD’s YouTube channel, and anyone with information is urged to contact LAPD detectives at (213) 924-3621.

Dean Fioresi, a web producer for CBS Los Angeles, covers breaking news in Southern California and is dedicated to providing updates on local events. He also has a focus on sports and entertainment. As the search for the hit-and-run driver continues, authorities are hoping that the release of the video will lead to more information and ultimately bring justice to the victim and his family.
