UMass Multis Excel in Personal Best Performances


Vermont Track and Field athletes recently competed in the UMass Multis, marking their first meet of the week. The event provided a good opportunity for the athletes to assess their performance and make necessary improvements. Associate head coach Kasey Hill commended the athletes for their exceptional performance, with Vaughn, Jackson, and Kayla achieving personal bests and demonstrating consistency in training and recovery efforts.

Kayla Myers placed third in the heptathlon with 4138 points, which is a personal best and the eighth-most in program history. Jackson King placed fourth in the decathlon with 6232 points, also achieving personal bests in several events. Vaughan Larkin placed sixth in the decathlon with 5722 points, setting personal bests in various events as well.

The Catamounts will continue their season with the men competing in the Friar Invitational and returning to Amherst for the UMass Commonwealth Invitational.
