The Boston University men’s ice hockey team secured a 6-1 win against Vermont, with freshmen Cole Hutson and junior Quinn Hutson leading the charge with three points each. The Terriers took an early lead and never looked back, eventually sealing the win with a 4-0 lead through two periods. Freshman Cole Eiserman and junior Ryan Greene also contributed to the scoring, with goaltender Mikhail Yegorov putting in a solid performance with 21 saves.
Quinn Hutson now leads the team with 46 points, while Cole Hutson leads in assists. The brothers combined for 13 points in two wins over the weekend. Eiserman’s 20th goal of the season puts him in elite company as the fourth Terrier freshman in the last 20 years to achieve this milestone. Additionally, Hughes and Greene also made notable contributions to the team’s success.
Head coach Jay Pandolfo has led the Terriers to 20 wins in each of his first three seasons. The team looks forward to hosting a Hockey East quarterfinal game at Agganis Arena on Saturday.
