Press Release: Exciting May Events at the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum
The St. Johnsbury Athenaeum invites the community to explore a vibrant lineup of events throughout May, featuring engaging activities for both adults and youth.
Highlighting the month is the Gallery Hall Art Exhibition, showcasing stunning black and white photographs by artist David Asgard, running through June. This exhibition promises to captivate art lovers with its powerful imagery.
For adults, recovery and wellness take center stage with an Off-Grid Roundtable on Saturday, May 3, at 1 pm, followed by a Menopause Panel on Tuesday, May 6, at 6 pm. The Good Living Book Club meets at the St. Johnsbury House on Friday, May 9, at 10:30 am, while a Menopause Café offers a shared dialogue on Tuesday, May 13, at 6 pm. Other notable gatherings include the Gallery Series featuring the Continua Hospice Choir on Wednesday, May 14, and the VH Snapshot Series exploring Humboldt and American Democracy the same evening. The month continues with film discussions at the Athenaeum Film Fan Club on Tuesday, May 20, and literary exploration at the Inquisitive Readers Book Club on Thursday, May 22. The month wraps up with the Cookbook Club, focusing on Greek cuisine on May 29.
Youth events are equally enriching, beginning with Yoga for Kids and Caregivers on Monday, May 12, and a Reading Celebration with “Music Man” Ed Morgan on Wednesday, May 21.
