Las Vegas Science and Technology Festival Showcases Innovation and Education
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The 14th annual Las Vegas Science and Technology Festival captured the imagination of attendees at the Giant Science and Technology Expo on Saturday. This free, full-day event provided a unique platform for the community to explore cutting-edge technologies and engage in captivating experiments.
Bringing together over 60 STEM organizations, the expo featured hands-on demonstrations that encouraged interaction with scientists, researchers, and STEM professionals from around Southern Nevada. Attendees were treated to live displays of robotics and virtual reality, as well as thrilling wildlife encounters. Additionally, visitors had the opportunity to examine authentic prehistoric fossils excavated from Nevada’s rich archaeological sites.
In an exciting highlight, the festival continued its tradition of promoting educational engagement by awarding $1,000 to the Clark County School District (CCSD) school that achieved the highest attendance throughout the festival. This year’s honor went to Billy and Rosemary Vassiliadis Elementary School, recognized with the Giant Expo Attendance Award.
The festival not only serves to ignite interest in science and technology but also fosters community collaboration and encourages the next generation of innovators. With its diverse range of activities and educational resources, the Las Vegas Science and Technology Festival continues to be a significant event that inspires curiosity and promotes STEM education in the region.
