Vermont Gas Prices Show Steady Decline

Vermont’s average gasoline prices have dipped to $3.07 per gallon, a decrease of 2 cents from last week and 7 cents lower than last month. This marks a significant 57-cent drop compared to the same period last year. The state’s lowest price this week was recorded at $2.84 per gallon, while the highest reached $3.29, indicating a substantial 45-cent range between the lowest and highest prices. Notably, Bennington and Windham counties are seeing the lowest averages at $2.99, contrasting with Essex, Lamoille, and Grand Isle counties, which reported higher averages at $3.24, $3.15, and $3.19 respectively.
Meanwhile, in Burlington, gas prices have remained steady at $3.16 per gallon, a reduction of 5.9 cents from last month and 46.4 cents lower than a year ago. The most affordable station in the area was priced at $3.04, while the most expensive was at $3.29, highlighting a 25-cent difference.
On a national scale, the average gasoline price decreased by 3 cents to $3.15 per gallon, down 9 cents from last month and 49 cents lower from last year. Conversely, the average price of diesel saw a slight increase, now standing at $3.501 per gallon.
