Federal agents’ investigation into New York City Mayor Eric Adams revealed ongoing activity weeks before the Justice Department ordered prosecutors to drop corruption charges. Court documents recently unsealed illustrate the case’s trajectory, starting with an investigation in August 2021 over potential improper campaign contributions, while Adams was still Brooklyn borough president. His ongoing rapport with Trump remains apparent; they recently met to discuss various topics, including infrastructure projects, further complicating perceptions of his political standing.
