Search Underway for Missing Vulnerable Adult in Vermont
Vermont State Police are urgently seeking the public’s assistance in finding a missing vulnerable adult, 79-year-old Julia Preston of Pittsfield, VT. She was last seen leaving her home on May 31st at approximately 8:30 PM, driving a black 2011 Toyota RAV4, with Vermont license plate "GCE306."
Authorities report that Julia was spotted at Stewart’s Shop on Woodstock Ave in Rutland City on June 1, 2025, at around 1:00 AM. After her stop at the convenience store, she was seen heading eastbound on Woodstock Ave. Concern for her safety is heightened given her age and vulnerability.
Described as approximately 5’3" tall and weighing 150 pounds, Julia has hazel eyes. Her family and law enforcement are deeply worried about her well-being and are urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward.
The Vermont State Police continue to investigate and are asking the community to keep an eye out for Julia or her vehicle. They emphasize the importance of public assistance in locating her swiftly and safely.
