Riverside Healthcare Unveils Advanced Imaging Technology at Bourbonnais Campus
BOURBONNAIS – Riverside Healthcare has significantly upgraded its imaging services at the Bourbonnais Campus with the launch of a state-of-the-art, 5,000 square-foot imaging suite. This new facility, part of the Riverside Bourbonnais Clinic Imaging Refresh Project, is located at Riverside Medical Plaza, 300 Riverside Drive, and features three advanced medical imaging units designed to provide faster results and reduce wait times for patients.
The highlight of the new suite is the region’s first and only permanent PET/CT scanner, which allows for improved scheduling and eliminates the dependency on mobile units that previously visited the area on a limited basis. New MRI and CT machines have also been installed to enhance service offerings.
Riverside Healthcare President and CEO Phil Kambic expressed pride in the advancements, stating, “These cutting-edge upgrades at our Bourbonnais Campus are already elevating the patient experience and equipping our staff with invaluable resources.” Although a mobile MRI unit remains available at Riverside’s Watseka campus, the new installations signify a major step forward in local healthcare accessibility.
During an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 21, Kambic and Riverside’s Director of Imaging Services, Kate Eschbach, thanked supporters for making the project a reality. They shared the impactful story of a patient already benefiting from the new technology. Eschbach emphasized the dedication of her 15-member team, who provided tours of the new equipment during the event.
The advanced imaging technologies will primarily serve oncology, neurology, cardiology, and orthopedics. Also present at the ceremony was Bourbonnais Mayor Jeff Keast, who lauded Riverside’s commitment to high-quality healthcare for local residents.
