Vermont Lake Monsters Host Annual Fundraiser for UVM Children’s Hospital
MIDDLEBURY, Vt. (WCAX) – The Vermont Lake Monsters, along with team mascot Champ, recently welcomed fans at Two Brothers Tavern in downtown Middlebury for their annual fundraising event supporting the UVM Children’s Hospital. Now in its third year, this popular event partnered with Fiddlehead Brewing to contribute a portion of tavern sales to the worthy cause.
Players expressed their excitement about the opportunity to connect with their supporters. "The fans are always at the games, win or lose, making it a lot of fun," said infielder Cooper Berry. "Anything we can do to give back and meet our supporters while helping a good cause is fantastic."
Holmes Jacobs, owner of Two Brothers Tavern, highlighted the synergy among community elements. "We serve a lot of beer, and Fiddlehead is a community leader, so combining beer, baseball, and children makes for a great collaboration."
Fans can look forward to attending Lake Monsters home games at Delta Dental Diamond at Centennial Field, with 15 games televised this season on sister station WYCI.
This annual event underscores the Lake Monsters’ commitment to supporting local initiatives while engaging with their dedicated fan base, creating a strong sense of community through shared efforts.
