Families Invited to Join Vermont Public Kids Day at ECHO on August 16th
Burlington, VT—Join ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain on Saturday, August 16th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a fun-filled day celebrating "Rube Goldberg™: The World of Hilarious Invention!" The day kicks off with a special sensory-friendly hour from 9:15 to 10 a.m., tailored for individuals with sensory sensitivities.
This exciting exhibit, inspired by Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Rube Goldberg, features hands-on interactive components and life-sized machines that connect humor with engineering concepts. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with various activities, including a creative art studio where they can design their own amusing cartoons, operate musical chain reactions in the large-scale Music Machine, and even pose in Rube’s iconic “Self-Operating Napkin.”®
Children can also enjoy a Daniel Tiger read-along session and have the chance to win a special Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood prize pack. Meet and take adorable photos with the beloved character during scheduled photo opportunities throughout the day.
