Next Stage Arts Celebrates 15 Years of Laughter with Vermont Comedy All Stars
PUTNEY, Vt. – Next Stage Arts is set to light up the stage on Friday, June 20, at 7:30 p.m. for an evening brimming with laughter as they present the Vermont Comedy All Stars, part of their ongoing 15th anniversary celebration. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m., and discounted tickets can be purchased in advance at www.nextstagearts.org.
This special showcase will honor notable community figures, Lyssa Papazian and Barry Stockwell, who have significantly contributed to the organization’s growth and impact. The lineup features a diverse array of comedic talent, ensuring an entertaining night for all.
Among the headliners is Ang Buxton, a high-energy comedian from Springfield, Mass., known for their wild performances and humorous approach. Buxton has received accolades, including being named Queer of the Year at the P3 Comedy Festival.
Maddie Cross, a Burlington-based comedian and finalist in Vermont’s Funniest Comedian competition, brings her unique perspective influenced by her upbringing in Washington, D.C. With experience performing alongside national headliners, she is a familiar face in the local comedy scene.
Neil Goldberg, a Vermont native, turned to comedy during the pandemic, quickly gaining recognition for his “unexpectedly intelligent” humor. Pierre Vachon, an entertainer with a diverse portfolio that includes acting and hypnosis, has graced stages across North America with his energetic style.
Rounding out the lineup is Matt Vita, an award-winning freestyle rapper and comedian based in New York City, and host Gordon Clark, a late-blooming comedian dedicated to promoting regional talent.
