Vermont Business Accelerator Celebrates Energy Innovation Success
Montpelier, VT – The Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund (VSJF) has announced RioNadi as the winner of the DeltaClimeVT Energy 2025 business accelerator, a program aimed at advancing energy innovation in Vermont. This announcement came after a four-month intensive accelerator, culminating in a graduation ceremony on June 12 at the Main Street Landing Performing Arts Center.
RioNadi, a Texas-based startup, received a $25,000 peer-selected award and secured a crucial pilot project with Burlington Electric Department (BED) to test its innovative electric vehicle monitoring and payment system technologies. This achievement highlights the startup’s commitment to improving the integration of EV charging, renewable energy, and utilities.
Hong Durandal, president of RioNadi, expressed gratitude for the supportive feedback received during the accelerator, emphasizing its impact on refining the company’s messaging and business strategy. “This experience helped us to really focus on our messaging and to think about what the business is all about,” he stated.
The Energy 2025 cohort, which included twelve entrepreneurs from various early-stage energy companies across the U.S., focused on technological solutions such as EV charging, climate resilience, and emissions reduction. Other participating companies showcased diverse innovations, from low-cost Level 1 EV charging solutions to IoT-enabled power line monitoring systems.
